The "sofit" letters (ending forms) in Rashi script are as follows:

Initial Observations

Notice that I shaded the cells of the table where the Rashi script differs from the square script (indicated in red) that you have already learned. In particular, note the following differences:

  • Mem sofit looks like Samech
  • Tsade Sofit looks like an oversized Zayin
  • The other letters are similar and should present no problems

Study Tip: Create flashcards with the Rashi script on one side and the regular book print on the other side.
