I have always wanted to read the bible in the purest form possible, its original language. For a while I threw around the idea of learning Greek but then I found your site and instantly knew that I was going to learn hebrew instead. I haven't gotten very far but every day I pray and ask the Lord for wisdom in my studying. I am taking my time, and making sure that I master each letter before moving on to the next. So far I am working on ten letters and each day I say them as I write them each at least ten times in print and cursive. You have a wonderful way of making such and intimidating language simple and easy.
I also have a couple of questions. I was introduced to the idea of celebrating bibical holidays thru a blog that I read. I followed some of thier links and found your site. I haven't gotten to the holiday section in your site yet because I would first like to work on my hebrew and then perhaps start studying the holidays. And I also still live with my parents and they don't believe in celebrating them. So I am some what limited as to what I really can and can't do. But I look forward to the day that God blesses me with a husband who believes the same as me about this subject. Do you believe that we are still under the old law was basically the question I was getting at. I am still praying about this and studying the word to see what I truly believe.
And I also wanted to tell you what a help your homeschool rescources have been. I have a six year old sister and she has shown a lot of potential in the language. My question is whether I should teach her how to write the letters in print or cursive. I like I said am teaching myself, but for her I am not so sure.
Last but not least is where should I start in my quest to become more of a "old testament abiding Christian"? There is so much information out ther that I am quite overwhelmed as to where I should start.
Thank you,
Briana
