Meaning of the Hebrew Number 30?

Postby Guest » Thu Jan 08, 2015 1:04 am

I know numbers are as important as pictures in the Hebrew language but I've tried to find the meaning of 30 with no real answers. Do you have anything that would help me?

Thanks

Shalom. 30 is the number of:

1) A Jewish Month
2) The minimum duration of a Nazirite vow
3) the period of the niddah cycle
4) the time when a baby is deemed viable
5) the sheloshim period of mourning
6) the interval between Passover and Passover sheni (and Purim and Passover)
7) the gematria of the Hebrew letter Lamed (ל) and its equivalents

In general, 30 is connected with cycles of life - birth, death, and monthly renewal. I hope that helps!
