Breslever Jews and Justification by Faith

Postby Guest » Fri Jun 01, 2012 2:18 pm

Currently, I am reading a remarkable book, entitled "the garden of peace" by rabbi Shalom Arush. I am surprised about his emphasis on "emuna", faith, and the importance of the personal relationship with HaShem, the Lord. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shalom_Arush). It is written in the tradition of the Breslev Jews. Are you able to comment on these people and this branch of Judaism? Justification by faith makes you a tzaddik?

Thanks

Shalom. Yes, the Brelovers have some good things to say about faith, though it must be remembered that is not faith in anything that makes you a real tzaddik, but faith in God's deliverance given through Yeshua. There were many Jews who perished in Egypt during the plagues because they lacked faith in God's method of deliverance. The Angel of Death visited all the homes that were not marked with the blood of the lamb....
