Why is Deuteronomy Jesus' favorite book?

Why is Deuteronomy Jesus' favorite book? My opinion is that Jesus brings New Covenant that is "Deuteronomy" (Deutero - second, nomos - law/commandments) so that Jesus brings second covenant that come from Zion, not from Sinai...

Well, that's interesting, but unlikely the reason. Deuteronomy only means "second law" if you are reading the LXX. It is better to regard the book as a summary of the teaching of Moses, or a restatement before he died. That's the idea of מִשְׁנֵה הַתּוֹרָה, mishneh ha-Torah in Deut. 17:18.
