The third blessing of the weekday Amidah is called Kedushat HaShem ("the holiness of the Name"). Kedushat HaShem is also a technical term for "sanctifying God's Name," which, in extreme cases, may require the giving of your life. The following is recited when you are by yourself, reciting the Amidah: |
